Ever since hearing his dad play drums along to Led Zeppelin's 'Moby Dick' when he was 12 years old, Cary knew he wanted to be a professional drummer. It came natural for Cary to be able to separate musical components in a song, learn drum tracks by ear, and memorize entire albums before high school. Having a background with Punk and Metal bands mastering complex technical time signatures helped influence his later years as a session drummer, being able to play all types of genres. Cary believes that the best drum arrangements enhance a song by understanding the style of music and then complimenting the other instruments in a way that isn't overdone with excessive fills.
